Ever wonder how our church got its name, ―Zion‖? I have. Unfortunately, I have yet to run across anything in our historical records that clearly states how our founding mothers and fathers decided on our church name (if you have, do tell!). Interestingly enough, even my Illustrated Dictionary and Concordance of the Bible says that "The etymology of this name [Zion] remains unex- plained and may be of great antiquity."
